3 Ways We Redeem Work

1. Connecting work to JESUS

“So the Jewish leaders began harassing Jesus for breaking the Sabbath rules. But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

So the Jewish leaders tried all the harder to find a way to kill him. For he not only broke the Sabbath, he called God his Father, thereby making himself equal with God. So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.” John‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ - ‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

2. Connecting work to COMMUNITY

“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” Colossians‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

3. Connecting work to MISSION

Paul lived and worked with them, for they were tentmakers just as he was.”  Acts‬ ‭18‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The best job is a CONNECTED job.

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
