Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.

A Fiery Trial: Daniel & Friends
19 Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual. 20 Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So they tied them up and threw them into the furnace, fully dressed in their pants, turbans, robes, and other garments. 22 And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames killed the soldiers as they threw the three men in. 23 So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, securely tied, fell into the roaring flames. -Daniel 3:19-23 (NLT)
How God Uses Pain for Good
1. To make me STRONGER
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. -Romans 5:3-4 (NLT)
2. To draw me CLOSER
The punishment you brought me through was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me your ways. -Psalm 119:71 (TPT)
3. To show His POWER
One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see! -John 9:25b (NLT)
