I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, 

but it was God who made it grow.    

-1 Corinthians 3:6

1. Plant as EARLY as you can, and as OFTEN as you can

1 In Caesarea there lived a Roman army officer named Cornelius, who was a captain of the Italian Regiment. 2 He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God. 3 One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said.    - Acts 10:1-3

Planting Tips:

  • You can be bold without being a spiritual bully

  • Practice the principle of spiritual receptivity: People are most open during times of tension, transition, and trouble

  • Capture the everyday moments and connect faith to real life

  • Set the environment and let God work 

2. Water CONSISTENTLY, and watch for ABSORPTION

5 I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you. 6 This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.    

-2 Timothy 1:5-6

Watering Tips:

  • Watering is all about reinforcement

  • It takes time

  • It takes a village

  • Don’t confuse your part with God’s part

Pick a PROMISE 

and ask God to PROVE it

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ 

with a resounding “Yes!”    

-2 Corinthians 1:20
