Relationships 101 Episode 3: Closing the Communication Gap

The Real Problem: Conflict Avoidance

Their disagreement was so sharp that they separated. Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed for Cyprus.    -‭‭Acts 15:39

3 FIXES:

  1. A Clear PATH

    Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.”-‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:48‬ 

  2. A Common GOAL

    37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”    -Matthew 22:37-40

  3. Constructive COMMUNICATION

    Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.    -Ephesians 4:29

YOUR WORDS WHEEL

As you were instructed before, make Mark welcome if he comes your way.-‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4:10


Only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you when you come, for he will be helpful to me in my ministry.-‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:11


All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and Him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.    2 Corinthians 5:18 (Msg)

If you’ve never said YES to Jesus, to receive His unconditional love and forgiveness, consider praying this prayer:

Jesus I give you my life. Thank you for saving me. I believe in you. Your life. Your death on the cross. And your resurrection. Forgive me of my sins. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Lead me. And teach me to follow you. And I ask it in Jesus name.
