EXPERIENCING GOD’S BEST THROUGH PATIENCE

EXPERIENCING GOD’S BEST THROUGH PATIENCE

Crazy Happy - Part 4 of 9

April 25, 2021 | Stephen Radie

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice (righteousness)

for they will be satisfied.    -Matthew 5:6

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: PATIENCE...

-Galatians 5:22

Joseph & Patience

21 But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. 22 Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. 23 The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.    -Genesis 39:21-23

28 “This will happen just as I have described it, for God has revealed to Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do. 29 The next seven years will be a period of great prosperity throughout the land of Egypt. 30 But afterward there will be seven years of famine so great that all the prosperity will be forgotten in Egypt. Famine will destroy the land.    -Genesis 41:28-30

Love is patient...Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.    -1 Corinthians 13:4,7

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good. -Romans 8:28a

Bottom Line: God Always Delivers the Goods

Verse to Memorize:

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.    -Isaiah 40:31

Next Steps:

✓ Today I’m saying YES to Jesus

✓ I’ll begin my Gratitude Journal

✓ I’ll memorize Isaiah 40:31 this week

For Reflection & Discussion:

  • Pastor Steve described being like “a kid in a candy store” in areas of his life. Can you relate? Where do you want to develop more patience?

  • Think of all the unfair aspects of Joseph’s life. What enabled him to have patience? What about his response do you admire?

  • “You can’t eat bread until it is fully cooked.” How can you move from impatience to patience as you wait for God to deliver the goods in your life?
