All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42


Community is the unintended but inevitable by-product of being devoted to one another.

What does it look like to be devoted to one another?

Romans 12:10a

“Love each other with genuine affection”

Romans 12:10b

“...and take delight in honoring each other.”

Romans 12:16

“Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!”

Romans 15:7

“Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.”

“...use your freedom to serve one another in love.”


Ephesians 4:32b

“...forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”


Colossians 3:16

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives.”
