In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching...John’s clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey. -Matthew 3:1, 4
(Jesus) I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. -Matthew 11:11
1. Know the BIGGER PICTURE
Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!...He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.” -Isaiah 40:3, 11
2. Let go of your EGO
John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. -John 1:8
He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. -John 3:30
3. Be ready for your MOMENT
13 Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?”
15 But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him. -Matthew 3:13-15

BOTTOM LINE:
To have a restored spirit I need to SUBMIT to the SHEPHERD
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. -Romans 8:6
Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. Mathew 7:20
