The #1 Money Myth: It’s MINE


1. A STEWARD  is a MANAGER

Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.

-1 Corinthians 4:2



2. TITHING is giving 10% of your income through your church

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple.    -Malachi 3:10



3. To become like Jesus, you must be a GIVER

So God created human beings in his own image….

-Genesis 1:27a

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.    -Jn 3:16

  • Giving is a reminder of OWNERSHIP

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.    -Psalm 24:1

  • Giving is praise and WORSHIP

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. -Proverbs 3:9-10

  • Giving is spiritual BATTLE

I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the LORD of hosts. -Malachi 3:11 (ESV)
