1. We HAVE peace

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. 3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.    -Romans 5:1-5

2. We have to WORK FOR peace

Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.    -Romans 12:18

1. What’s your reaction to the idea that peace is both something that you have and something that you have to work for? 

2. Looking more closely at Romans 5:1-5, what relationship do you see between faith, peace and hope? How do you think one leads to the other? Which one do you think would help your home life the most right now?

3. Of the 3 Ways to Work for Peace (consideration, clarity and commitment), which one do you feel strongest in when it comes to your relationships at home? Which one do you want to work on this week?

4. How could you invite God’s Spirit into your heart and your home in greater ways this week?
