RECLAIMING QUALITY TIME

Ken Wooten

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. - Romans 12:10

Question… Who or what gets your time?

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.

A time to kill and a time to heal.

A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.

A time to grieve and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.

A time to embrace and a time to turn away.

A time to search and a time to quit searching.

A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend.

A time to be quiet and a time to speak.   Ecc. 3:1-7

*   When I give away an hour of my time, I’m giving away an hour of my life.

*  How I spend my time or my life, will bring either memories or regrets.

*  I want my time and life to go beyond me, I want it to last longer than me.

MY PERSONAL TOP PRIORITIES:

1. God – Seek the Kingdom of God. above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matt. 6:33

2. My Wife – There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!             Prov. 31:29

3. My Kids – Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them. Mark 10:16

4. My Church – Christ is also the head of the church, which is His Body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So, He is first in everything. Colossians 1:18

5. My Work -  Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well-done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. Galatians 6:4-5

6. All Others - I Cor, 13:1-3

FOR DISCUSSION & REFLECTION:

1. Think through the last week. Based on what you placed in your top priorities, the hours spent, and the attention given, who or what gets your time?

2. Reflect on the scripture references Pastor Ken shared. What adjustments need to be made to align your time with God’s way?

3. What hurdles might you need to address to make that happen? How are you going to address them?
