HOW DO WE RECESSION PROOF OUR LIVES?

1. God PROVIDES

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬

2. TRUST in God

“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.” -‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19‬

1. In Philippians 4, Paul reveals a lot about his relationships with those he is writing in this letter as well as his perspective on provision. What stands out to you about this passage?

2. Read 2 Kings 4:1-7. What stands out to you about this passage?

3. Looking back at Pastor Stephen’s “5 Proven Biblical Money Principles”, how do we see those principles come to life through what you read in the scripture above?

4. Which of those principles come easily to you and how have you seen God working in them? What is most challenging and what are you doing with those challenges?
